Tara - J Farms Manang

Tara-J Farms Manang sits at over 3,500 meters along the world-famous Annapurna Circuit. Here you wake up to the breathtaking close-up views of the majestic Annapurna range — surrounded by rugged mountains and timeless Himalayan culture.

Nestled in the heart of the Manang Valley, our farm is home to a thriving high-altitude apple orchard, along with organic vegetables, herbs, buckwheat, and sea buckthorn. Every season brings something fresh from the soil straight to your plate. Guests can walk through the orchard, pick apples with us, or simply enjoy the peaceful rhythm of farm life surrounded by snow-capped peaks.

We grow everything using natural, sustainable methods that protect this fragile mountain ecosystem. From farm to table, each meal celebrates the pure flavors of the Himalaya, grown with care at altitude.

Manang is a living gem of the Annapurna region — a historic village famous for its Tibetan-influenced culture, ancient monasteries like Braga Gompa and Praken Gompa, and as a major acclimatization hub before crossing Thorong La Pass.

From here you can hike to the turquoise waters of Gangapurna Lake and the sacred Tilicho Lake, trek up to the reflective Ice Lake, visit Milarepa’s Cave, or explore the valley’s rich wildlife.

This area is especially known for snow leopards and blue sheep, drawing wildlife lovers from around the world. You can also immerse yourself in local traditions through festivals like the vibrant Yartung horse racing and archery celebrations.

At Tara-J Farms Manang, we believe in farming gently, living in harmony with nature, and welcoming guests into honest, meaningful experiences. This is not just tourism. It is responsible regeneration, rooted in deep respect for the soil, the mountains, the rivers, the flora and fauna, and the communities that have lived here for generations.
